- Required Documentation: Bringing your Original Physical Passport or valid ID is mandatory for train travel and Machu Picchu entry.
- Layered Clothing: Cusco experiences significant temperature variations (chilly morning/night, warm sunny midday). Pack thermal warm layers, windbreaker, raincoat, and sturdy trekking shoes.
- Preparation for Vinicunca & Humantay: These excursions reach 5,020 m (16,470 ft) and 4,200 m (13,780 ft) respectively. Prior rest and staying well hydrated are recommended.
